School of Management Executive MBA for Health Care Professionals EMBA Students

As a physician, nurse, health care or hospital administrator, pharmaceutical or insurance executive, or health care consultant, you deal with change every day. Neither clinical expertise nor business savvy alone can solve the management and policy problems you face in such a fluctuating climate. You need both types of knowledge, so you can use them effectively together.

Binghamton University's Executive MBA with a Health Care Concentration was created for people with a clinical background who are ready to develop the managerial and financial skills to go with it. It is designed for busy professionals who cannot leave their careers to participate in a full-time program. By attending bi-weekly sessions on Friday afternoons and Saturdays from 8 am to 6 pm, you can earn an MBA in 21 months.

As in our traditional Executive MBA program, the first year of coursework offers a foundation of management tools and applications and the participants will learn the important analytical skills essential for critical decision-making. In the second year, the participants will learn advanced applications, enhance their leadership skills, and further develop their decision skills in a multidisciplinary framework.

In addition to a Health Care Consulting Project, second year Health Care Concentration Students will take coursework in Health Care Law and Health Care Economics and Finance in place of a Special Topics course and courses in Business Law, and Business Ethics.
