School of Management Executive-MBA for Health Care Professionals

Executive MBA class discussion

Program Overview :

Persons completing the EMBA-Health Care Concentration will understand the business side of health care and will be prepared to participate in policy formulation and the decision making process of providers of health care services and organizations that are impacted by health care issues. The design of the program which integrates persons familiar with different aspects of health care into the same class is consistent with the future organization of health care as an integrated system rather than a series of separate services.

The Executive MBA format of this program is designed for busy professionals who cannot leave their careers to participate in a full time program. By attending bi-weekly class sessions on Fridays and Saturdays from 8 am to 6 pm, participants can receive the MBA degree in 21 months.

The concentrated format for this program is possible because of the highly selective admissions process used. Participants are selected on the basis of their experiences and background and their ability to contribute to the learning of the group. They move through the program as a cohort, sharing the same educational experiences and working together cooperatively, thereby becoming valuable resources to one another while in the program and throughout their professional careers.

Executive MBA Courses are taught by a combination of faculty of the School of Management and professionals with recognized expertise in their fields.
