Program Accreditation
Binghamton University, one of this country's most distinguished public
universities, reached its fiftieth anniversary in 1996 with a strong reputation for excellence, accessibility, and diversity of its
educational programs. One of four University Centers of the State University
of New York, Binghamton offers programs leading to bachelor's, master's,
and doctoral degrees.
The School of Management's graduate program reflects our commitment to
educating men and women for leadership positions. The faculty of the School
of Management are widely known for excellence in teaching. Our curriculum
conveys knowledge of leading edge theory and practice through a variety
of learning approaches, including case analysis and discussion, team projects,
and individual research. The outstanding reputation of our faculty is
also based on the knowledge generated through their research, and on the
creative application of knowledge to help solve real-world problems.
All MBA degree programs of Binghamton University's School of Management
are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business
International, also known as the AACSB International. This organization
is nationally recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as the only
official accrediting body for Master of Business Administration programs.
Accreditation standards set by the AACSB International are both rigorous
and rigorously enforced. Of the more than 2,000 business programs across
the United States, approximately 460 have AACSB International accreditation.
The School of Management
is also a full member of the Executive MBA Council. The mission of this
organization is to foster excellence and innovation in Executive MBA programs
in a globally competitive environment. The school's Executive MBA Program
has been evaluated using the council's satisfaction benchmarking instrument.
As part of this evaluation,
participants rated the performance of their programs on a variety of criteria. The Binghamton University Executive MBA Program did extremely well and has been honored as a presenter during the Best Practices Session at a recent Executive MBA National Conference.
