PricewaterhouseCoopers Scholars Program

The purpose of the School of Management's PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC) Scholars Program is to attract superior students and challenge them to reach their full academic potential. Honors students augment normal SOM requirements in mathematics, the sciences, humanities, the social sciences and management with special opportunities to enhance their written and oral communication and leadership skills. To facilitate verbal communication, scholars are required to be an active member of the SOM Toastmasters Club for a minimum of six semesters. Writing skills are enhanced through an additional required writing emphasis course.

The program is also designed to facilitate interaction with both faculty and other scholars. Students attend honors seminars each semester in which guest speakers from the community as well as from the School of Management will lead discussions on current issues in management. Completion of the PWC Scholars Program is noted on the student's official transcript and through an honors certificate issued by the School of Management.

Admission to the PWC Scholars Programs is competitive and is limited to ten percent of the entering class for both accounting and management. Students are admitted at the time of admission to the University as part of the Binghamton University Scholars Program.
